Saâdane Afif presented a work on site that is a performance as well as in instruction or secret undertaking from afar. “Play Opposite” (2015) deals with the play Ubu Roi by French writer Alfred Jarry from 1896. Around the turn of the century, the first performance of the absurd satire caused major attention for its bizarre and comic take on evil practices of power and greed. Conducted as a promotional or activist campaign, the play was handed out in tracts and so disseminated in fragments of hundred parts in public space.
